Title: Leaking clouds
Post by: Kadri on May 10, 2020, 05:01:44 AM

After many unfinished images still waiting, this came out very fast tonight.
Looks kinda finished to me. Not sure if it needs anything more.
What do you think?

Cool solarization effect. No post work? Wow. Reminds me of the final sequence in 2001.

Spectacular clouds.
Wouldn't want to be there, though.

Thanks all.

No, all in Terragen without any editing. Just sharpening, colour correcting etc. kinda postwork.

The node setup of the clouds is complicated... i had hard time to handle all:

;D  Yeah one of the simplest setups you can see.

The transform node is just for placing the clouds.
But i use transform nodes for seeding too (like most of you probably).
Seeding is limited after some clicks. Or you can not get something you like. Or you have something close but wish to change it just a little.
With transform i can place the 3D noise look a little to all sides and have much better control of the shapes. Kinda unlimited seeding with fine control.

The below image is without the surface layer node.
