Got rid of the ground altogether.
There is only one cloud node with 2 surface layers.
Wow! This is insanely good!
Oh..... Absolutely amazing!
Thanks.
Another version.
In this one i smoothed out the details more to get more of a painterly look.
Not sure which one is better.
V4.
Holy cow, these are amazing cloudshapes. I'd go for v3. So the surface shaders take care of the sheets? And the funnel? Is that coincidence or stretched cloud?
Thanks Ulco.
There is no stretching. At least no need except if you want a different look of course.
Yes the surface layers are for the under and upper sheets.
The rest is about fine tuning contrast, coverage, thickness etc. parameters.
It looks a little bit like "Not out of this world" !
Very bizarr, but cool.
STORMLORD
I have been saving this critique for just the right render......
O.......M.....G....!!!!!!!
:) Truly fantastic!
Ultra-cool.
The first one and V4 especially.
What a scenery - how incredibly cool!
All fantastic - I like V3 the most but all are insanely great!
Thanks all.
Last render for now.
I am testing for a possible animation with this setup now. Curious if anything will come out.

Curious too!

Most probably disguised as a spaceship :D
Animating a Cthulu Monster is frightening in itself.

Right! ;D ;D
These days I looked out for the design of Cthulhu as 3D model... i found that it doesn't look really frightening or even cool... looks a bit ridiculous what I found...

Now....I pretend that i have not seen that. :)
;D
Wow, incredible work, Kadri!!! Reminds me a bit of Roger Dean's artwork.
Thank you Hannes. I like his work :)
I think my old small background of comic, pencil kind of work is showing itself more and more.
