Number 2 exploring Fake Stones Series. Number one didn't work out that well but it's at my Renderosity Gallery if you're interested.

A basic default .ter with [New View from version one] 2 surface layers, a sand,[sand039 which is an exterme close up of a square inch of sand and ties very well] for the lower altitudes, and one called CerroVerde_rock for the higher altitudes. The fake stones use 2 other of my faves, igneous rock and Crystal1 which gives a nice impression of translucence with Translucent slider at 1 and a light blue Translucency tint.I have applied the Strata and outcrops Shader before the Crystal 1 in the nodes and put Twist and shear in front of the igneous map. And I added a RockPine I had lying around from a gig I did for an architecture student some time back.
they look like they are all textured...are they?
whatever it is....it looks nice....
I like the tiered almost clear stones.

Thanx very much dhavalmistry and calico...the tiered effect comes from the Strata Shader, and I
was trying for that almost clear translucence you see in quartz.....Yes indeed they are, for the darker stones I used an image map named
igneous and the semi clear looking ones used one called approriately
Crystal 1... I don't have them on this computer but will upload them to File Shareing as soon as a render I have going ends later today if any one wants to play around. It will be all 4 textures I used and I'll upload the .tgd as well, minus the tree which
can't be re distributed but just replace with the fir tree we got from XFROG if you wanf the whole scene.
