Title: Using the Basic Sine Wave Displacement tgc by sboerner
Post by: KlausK on September 26, 2020, 04:51:37 AM
Hi,
these are two views of a scene using the sineWave.tgc posted by sboerner here: Basic sine wave displacement (https://planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,28353.0.html)
Very useful in lots of scenarios.
This is the basic terrain from my default scene combined with the tgc via a Surface Layer Shader node.
I added a Fractal Warp Shader to the tgc. The nice thing is that the vertical shapes of the "waves" are smooth rock surfaces.
Unlike the clipped surfaces you`ll often have to fight when using masks and displacements.
Scene file attached.

Feel free to post your own creations with this tgc in this thread, if you like.

CHeers, Klaus

Very cool! Love it. Your color shading is really effective, too.
