Title: Death in paradise
Post by: Hannes on October 23, 2020, 05:47:42 AM
Still a lot of objects, but all in all a more "terragenesque" scene. For those who like the series as much as I do.

;D ;D  Not funny what's happening at all of course, but hey, it's a series. Nice stuff again, Hannes. I do find the woods a bit dark, though.

I'd echo Ulco. A bit brighter and it's perfect.

Yeah those are we daunting woods. Hope the guy is running for the Jeep.

Thanks a lot, guys!! Seems my monitor isn't the best. On my phone it looks quite dark as well.

Is your monitor true color or hdr? I have to be careful cause what looks good for me is often out of range for other monitors and thus gets dark or over exposed looking. I think the added bit depth throws of brightness/contrast ratios between monitors.

My brown dwarf it bit hard. I thought it was nicely lit and could see all the details but on my phone and TV it's pretty dark. Ironically think this is a issue with old digital movies like the hobbit. Care for viewing in non HDR screens wasn't closely looked at. Movie is terrible dark on my tv. Gotta crank up brightness to max and contrast to grays.

It's a bit embarrassing, but my main- "monitor" is a 42'' Full HD TV set, accompanied by a 24'' (real computer-) monitor. I tried to adjust the settings of the TV set as best as possible, so that it roughly matches the colors on the real monitor, but of course it might happen, that one or another image is a bit too dark or whatever.
Well, I'm not working professionally (anymore), so I can live with that, and I really enjoy the big screen!!

However I'll try to make the forest a bit brighter...

Laughing at this because my main monitor is a "real Computer" monitor, and my secondary is a 36" flat screen TV we got years ago.
"Do what you can with what you got...." ;)

42 inch, wow. Never really realized that a flatscreen tv works 'just as well'.

Looks like a scene from the books that my wife reads - mystery novels! Apt title as well.

Beautiful staging. Looks like an image from a movie!
