The way clouds work now is perfect for clouds, I wouldn't change it. But I do wish there was a mode which aligned clouds based off the base, so you could easily orient and calculate positions for volumetric hacks and other vfx. Just to make the thinking process easier, like if my base is 0, and depth 10, I know the limit of the clouds is at 10m, rather than a depth of 10 at a 5m alt.
