In Terragen the User Interface is very slow, too slow to work with. For instance, switching Menu in the Top Toolbar has a lag between 3-6 seconds. Is this normal?
I'm on a MacBook Pro, i9, 32GB Ram, Radeon Pro Vega 20 4GB, OSX 10.15. Other demanding Programs like C4D, Photoshop ... work flawlessly.

Are your node networks very big? I only notice this with large networks. Additionally, making sure the 3D Preview or RTS Preview is paused is essential imo when working with nodes and the GUI.

Nope, the lag is still there.

This is definitely not normal.
