Title: Rotating the Shader 3D Preview
Post by: WAS on March 04, 2021, 01:59:51 PM
I was today years old when I realized you can middle click on the shaders 3D window to get a side profile of the plane, and really get to know the shader you are working with. Not sure if others knew, so just throwing it out there. Incredibly handy.

For those without a middle mouse button, it would be Alt + Left Click for you.

I always used alt + Right click to rotate the shader preview.

Didn't know about using middle click on its own to rotate till now.

Alt + left click is rotate
Alt + middle click is zoom
Alt + right click is pan

All these years I thought the 3D preview for shaders was static. I think I even asked if we'd get a more 3D Preview (normal one) like shader preview and was said it's in the works, but with rotation it pretty much already is minus navigation.

Didn't know that, handy. Probably the same combinations as the preview. It's always a bit different with a Wacom.
