Title: No 32-bit Pixel Color Sampling in Affinity Photo?
Post by: D.A. Bentley (SuddenPlanet) on March 20, 2021, 11:50:53 AM
Hey DigitalGuru or anyone using Affinity Photo,

Affinity Photo was recommended in this thread, so I picked it up for $25:

The 32-bit Image viewing, editing is good but I can't figure out how to sample 16-bit, or 32-bit colors with the Color Picker tool.  The Info Panel only shows 8-bit (0-255) samples.

Also others seem to have the same issue:

I hope Affinity fixes this soon.

Yes, this really needs to be fixed. (You may have seen my comments in that thread.) In the meantime you can use the eyedropper tool (press and hold the left mouse button) to read those values. (A poor workaround.)
