Hi everyone,
what can i do to place a spotlight into the clouds?
The Coordinates from the clouds dont fit cause they are whether behind or in front of the Clouds.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Have you tried using the top view? With that you should be able to place the light accurately in the x and z axes, relative to the camera (or other objects). Then return to perspective view to set the y value.
Placing objects in the sky generally takes a little trial and error.
How do i avoid that grainy look of the Spot-Light?
I´ve set the Quality of the atmosphere by 48 sample with this look:
How do i change into the Top view?
1) Hi, you may want to take a look at this thread. Perhaps there is something in there for you.

2) Come on...take some time and plough through the Wiki... ::)

The wiki is actually not quite clear.
It says "Click this button to open a list of these views" but which button...
When you highlight the buttons they say their name, but that should probably be fixed, so I uploaded a replacement image with a legend.
Button nr. 9 of course :P

The image there now is 501 × 200.
Really? It takes just some reading to get it, I think.
"Camera Control Buttons"
2nd in the listing:
"Select different cameras or viewpoints"
and then a little bit down on the site
"Select different cameras or viewpoints"
"The 3D preview provides access to a standard set of cameras which are not linked to any camera node. Click this button to open a list of these views. The views are "Perspective view", "Top view", "Bottom view", "Front view", "Back view", "Left view" and "Right view". You can access each of these views by clicking the 'Select Camera' button second from the left on the toolbar at the bottom of the '3D Preview'."
Not really unclear to me. Whatever...
We NEED a video tutorial asap!

For me and you it is clear and it says there even "From left to right, the camera control buttons on this toolbar are".
But for a new user these kind of things could be always better and even then you will get probably someone who asks again :)
I don't want you all to argue.
It was just a question. :)
To return to this topic. What can i do to have straight crispyless lightray?
Thanks a lot for your answer.
Not sure but i would try by using a bigger radius. Try 1 and see how it looks and play accordingly.

F5 refresh. Bad caching system. When you change images it doesn't update the headers to require a new download.

Yes worked. This new version is very good now.
When i place a Spotlight underwater with the data shown in the picture, i dont get the results i expect.
The glowing underwater looks very disapointing. Or do i something wrong?
And this is the final rendering:
Atmosphere Quality 48
Rendering: 0.8
Anti-aliasing: 8
Looks very grainy and i miss the glow underwater.
