Title: Touching the Preview Window
Post by: rcallicotte on December 06, 2007, 10:02:58 PM
No matter what I change in my work (so far), if I even touch the preview screen in order to attempt to move, TG2 blows up.

I think I might have figured this out.  It's due to heavy displacements.  I'm beginning to see a pattern here.   ;D

Why would just placing tree objects (TGOs) into a scene with heavy displacements blow up TG2?

I think that's because that even in real life plants have a hard time growing on extreme displacements.

Gosh, thanks for the help, calico!   ;D

Are you having a schizophrenic episode or (and?) would you like some outside help? ;)

Is it more stable if you disable "True Lighting" in the 3D Preview (the toggle button with the lighting icon at the top of the 3D Preview)? If so, that might indicate an error with the ray tracer which has known instabilities and is being rewritten.

Thank you, Matt.  I'll check that out.

And me, too.   ;D
