Title: The journey (photoshop and tgd intergration)
Post by: lightning on December 07, 2007, 03:06:32 AM
hello again this is my second image post here!

this was an image i had thought about in my head for quiet a while.
there are two terragen image combined here.
the transporter model was from Luca Rodolfi
so big credit to him.

in photoshop i merged the two images together and added the motion blur and engine light. special thanks also to Gileryd for the grass planet which was blended in photoshop along with the stars.

thanx for viewing

At first I thought the image was mostly photoshop but after reading it seems to be otherwise and that makes me appreciate the image much more. The TG-work is very nice. Very relax atmo and nice clouds.
The models look good, though I'd position them differently, more in line I think. The planet looks cool, but maybe a bit too bright for a planet?
In overall a very nice piece of work, keep'm coming! :)

nice work mate, my crit would be hat the closer flyer is a bit too blurred if that makes sense, in low light like that it might be easter to but the blur on the flames  and only a little blur on the structure.

I like this very much and have decided I don't like the blur on my own stuff, so I don't like it here.  Your call, of course.  Otherwise, the colors are great, the render is excellent, the objects are all looking spiffy.  Nice.

lovely render....

the only thing I would ask you to change is the intensity of the stars

Don't change a thing... :)  The planet brightness seems about right alongside the foreground clouds lit by the setting sun.

How much of the grass planet is TG, or is it none at all?

no the planet is done in photoshop
oh i actually liked the blur i find it adds extra realism to the render. if there was no blur then it would look like the ship was stationary

oh and the reason the two ships are off line is because they have came from two different places and they are joining together in a group for the journey back to base which is on Graminis The grass sister planet
