Title: More Fractals?
Post by: sjefen on December 07, 2007, 10:37:21 AM
I was so sure I saw a topic where Matt said he want's to add more fractals for us, but I can't fin it again.
Just wondering if this is something we can see in the final release this year?

I seem to recall a post on the Renderosity: Terragen Forum that said that TG2 dose not have enough fractal noise types so any new ones would be nice.

Regards to you.

Apophysis ;)
I remember the topic you're talking about...and if I remember correctly it was about cloud fractals, but I also wasn't able to find it.
I hope they will be included, especially for clouds like these:

It's doubtful that we'll be able to add any notable new basis functions (fractals/noise/etc.) for the final release, but this is the kind of thing that will be easy to release as an update in 2008. Once the SDK is available it should also be easy for other coders to add their own.

Thanks Oshyan.

Little of topic here, but is it possible to get a list of what we can expect in the next update like last time?
