Title: Looking for rockets 3d models...
Post by: MF_Erwan on December 18, 2007, 07:31:57 AM
I'm working in a planetarium, and with my colleague we are making a new show about space conquest.
So we are looking for 3 models to implant in the system.
There is no problem to find space probes models, but it seems very difficult to find rockets models, like Saturn V, Proton, Ariane...
Has anyone got a good adress to find such models (the cheaper, the better!) ? We can load those formats:
.3dm
.max
.3ds
.dxb
.dxf
.x
.cob
.wrl
.obj
.asc
.ase
.c4d

And for me, I'lle use them to create a view of Cape Canaveral in TG2! ;D

Not often cheap, but a great source for commercial 3D objects: http://www.turbosquid.com/ (http://www.turbosquid.com/)

Choose 3D models in the search pull down, and search on words like 'nasa' and 'rocket', etc. All assets are cross indexed to different keywords, with a choice of alternative search terms near the top of the model's page.
