Title: Mega clouds?
Post by: itsdavidblaker on May 21, 2022, 10:50:57 AM
Heya!

Would anyone have any smart ideas on approaching a mega cloudscape? Few nice references here:

The main goal is to create these colossal billowing mountain-sized clouds - I've often seen all of my attempts result in clouds that feel too small? It's a challenge getting that clean crispy edge, any small scale noise that I add always breaks it up  ;D

Open to all thoughts!

Thank you,

Got these so far but even here I'm not 100% satisfied, still feels a tad messy, hmm!

This is one of the holy grails of TG, and pretty hard to achieve without a lot of experimentation. Low or negative noise variation is one thing that seems to work. Not using base whispyness is another. But this already looks pretty good. But I'm not into clouds very much.
