I'm sure there has been many wind turbine renders, hope this one is ok.
Looks like a good start to me. I'd add some more color variation and (object) vegetation on the ground, and what's there looks very dark. Are you sure the textures loaded well?
And if you have the possibility to alter your model, I'd make a few version with differently rotated wings and mix the populations, as they all stand in the same position.
I agree with all you said, the dark part is actually models but i guess its kinda hard to tell and while i do wanna vary up the models some more its kinda hard with my free license.

A very good start. I agree with Ulco about some improvements. Some more variation in color and especially in the wind turbines would be great!
