Title: Alembic file to Terragen
Post by: PeterRongsted on June 30, 2022, 05:41:12 PM
Hello everyone

Can anyone offer a piece of advice on how to handle alembic (abc-files) going into Terragen?
I have Maya and Terraman available as well, and I have had some luck importing the alembic files into Maya and then using Terraman to get them straight into Terragen.

However, now I have an animated camera and Terraman is giving me an error saying: // Error: An execution error occured in the expression CAM_shotCam_nodeSpeed.
I can find the node called speed, and it seems to be just set at 1 with no animation, but I cannot wrap my head around how to go from there to avoid the error in Terraman. Anyone?

Hi Peter,

Currently Terragen does not support alembic files.  It does support object sequences and the MDD file format.

Here's the links to the online documentation for both:

That seems to be an error relating to Terraman (my script) not Terragen, I'll PM Peter directly.
