Title: Minerva
Post by: aknight0 on October 25, 2022, 10:13:43 AM
Tinkering around with creating a sci-fi scene with some of the free Mission Minerva (https://kitbash3d.com/pages/minerva) assets.  Unfortunately, the models don't seem to play well with Terragen at all, adding just a couple brings my machine to a crawl.  Not sure why, as the individual models aren't very large, just a few hundred MB.  I split the main kit into individual obj groups with Blender, maybe there's a better way?

Maybe the objects can be reduced in size? They are so small in the render, you probably wouldn't see it, and it might go faster. PT?

Agree with Ulco. The objects are barely visible. A very nice scenery, but maybe the Minerva objects might look better in a scene that shows more of them.

Agreed, my initial plan was to have some in the background, and some in the foreground.  After how difficult the models have been to work with though, I think I'll just move on to something else.

Well that landscape is certainly interesting and well done. Shame the models aren't playing nice.  :(
