to get the spkes in the wall
all i did was generate a heightfield with no bumps on it, and about 2000m tall
i then created a shader with a powerfractal and made sure that it covered the flat west wall of the heightfield.

Very different. I like your imagination. Something's missing, though. I think it's that I expect to see something going in between the foreground and the background. Nice work, nevertheless.
Nice. It would even be better if you could let the wall bend of to the right about halfway to the back, but it's nice as it is.
