Title: Export camera in relation to terrain (Blender)
Post by: yellowcab on November 26, 2023, 05:59:15 AM
Hello,

I don't know how to export terrain and camera to Blender. I know that you can export them separately, but then I don't know where the camera is in relation to the terrain. I want a semi automatic or fully automatic method. I tried matching the camera to the terrain with camera projection but that solution is very hit and miss. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi yellowcab,

Exporting the terrain and exporting the camera are two separate functions in Terragen.

How you go about exporting the terrain somewhat depends on how you intend to use the terrain in another application.  Here are some links about exporting terrain in Terragen.

You can export a camera in Terragen via the Main Menu's File > Export FBX Scene... option.  When you load the FBX file into Blender, the camera will match that of Terragen.
