Thanks guys. The problem with this kind of commissions is that clients often has a romantic 'caspar-david-friedrich' kind of idea of what they envision , but they also want a realistic reconstruction based on historic data and accurate sizes. That never goes together. I offered to do a more dramatic image, with cliffs (8m, mind you) looming over the 'harbour', viewed upon by a dramatic armed tower, but accuracy went first. So to me the task to make it as appealing as possible....
These are the experts, sit in their tower, care for their own dreams which having nothing or less to do with reality.
