Title: How do you change the planatary location of a cloud layer (Group)?
Post by: AlianaAR on October 06, 2024, 06:46:38 PM
Everything you insert goes to the north pole. 0,0,0. I get it. That's fine, but I have built a Thunderstorm that I want elsewhere on the surface of the planet. I've tried changing the coordinates within the cloud layers that make up the storm but I end up with a space cloud, lol.

I tried to use a transform shader but  no matter what I enter nothing happens but I suppose I'm using that wrong. I had it plugged in between the bottom cloud layer and the planet 1 node, but it changed nothing when I had Translate checked on and made changes.

So based on this build where would I plug in a transform shader (if that's even the correct thing to use here) so I can translate the cloud group across the surface so the bottom of the cloud layer always faces toward the surface of the planet?

Figured it out. Ya change the x or z to you liking then you must click drop to terrain.
