Title: Volcano
Post by: Harvey Birdman on January 12, 2008, 05:06:33 PM
This is the image the cracked mud clip is from. I actually started with cbalaskas' 'cracked face' clip and cooked it down to 4 core nodes.

The plants are the free XFrog bamboo and Sonshine777's grass clump (IIRC).

Where are the melting watches?

It must be the rocks because nothing else looks like his work but my first thought was Dali  ;D

Thanks, all.

Mr. Lamppost - Go on with you.   :D   Poor Dali - he's probably spinning in his grave...

Great dirt!  And the volcano reminds me of a mountain from Terragen .9.

Hey, sorry I didn't respond to this - been busy.

Check out this link - http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=2322.msg22706 (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=2322.msg22706). It references a procedure for making tgo's out of the freebies.

Pretty cool volcano. How did you make it? Is it a heightfield?

Nope, it's just a crater shader with a lot of displacement. I also used a mask to restrict the size of the base so it didn't approach the foreground.
