The displacements are fantastic.  Now, try some alternating coloring within and you'll have a TG2 library memento.

This looks good so far, nice shapes and variation on rough and smooth surfaces. Would like to see some more colors and maybe some specific structures like cracks or strata.

here is an update with colors

I am gonna have to go out of house now...so I will work on this when I get back....

@TU - I am working on stratas and voronoi...

Heading in the right direction...

I can't wait to see what we can do with reflection and transparency with these sorts of displacements.

Already better now. The extra colors look nice. I'd add some little rougher displacements on the extra colors, to make them more distinguishable from the underlying layers. As if it really is another kind of rock.
The displacement look really cool.

The color and shape reminds me of hardened lava, only was maybe molten copper and has oxidized by harsh coastal air...

Very sexy displacement.

Very nice, though I prefer the colors in the first one. Would be very nice to share the .tgd or a clip file when done. :)

I actually don't mind the colours. They remind me of slate from up the bush. If there was a little reddish brown thrown in, you'd have it down.

Turn that green into a slightly reddish tan and it might be rockin'...Oh.  You said you weren't interested in the colors.

Just in case, I'll post this anyway.   :P

ok guys here it is...the last render and a TGD file....as promised....jump in....the node network is kinda messy!...but hey it works....

although I have a problem...maybe someone can fix it....

I have 2 layers of voronoi but when I add the 3rd layer...all the displacement goes away....

anyways...have fun messing around with the file...feel free to modify it or refine it....

Looking good Dhaval.  I like those voronoi rocks in the bottom right with the micro strata on them.

I think some work needs to be done on the distant strata though.  TG2's defaults for this are much too sharp and lined up, which is why I don't use them much.

Otherwise, nice job!

thanx moodflow...I am sure you can come up with something about the distant displacements....

Just downloaded the file and scanned the nodes.  This will take some time to grasp, but looks great.

I am still working on those foliage populations and color variations at the moment, but definitely want to explore this file more.

Don't lose that TGD file.  Lock it up for safe keeping!

Try lowering the hard layer steepness to take care of the sharpness of the strata's, or use a blending mask (both will give the best result).

Very nice textures and displacements; however, I would like to see more color variance.
