Title: End of Summer
Post by: overlordchuck on January 24, 2008, 06:27:47 PM
Yeah, so I finished this guy: http://chuck-the-overlord.deviantart.com/art/End-of-Summer-75502927

I tried to remake dhaval's fake grass, but it turned out all wacky and whatnot. :(

Like the brightness and the clouds.  But, I'm wondering what that is in the left upper corner.  Is that how it rendered?

I think the upper left corner represents the leaves blowing in air....very nice...I love the clouds...but stratas and grass??...

Yeah, I wondered what was going on with the grass.  Basically I took your fake grass file nearly point-for-point...I dunno, I don't understand nodes yet.

And yes, the things in the corner are supposed to be leaves in the air, I got it off Ashundar here: http://www.ashundar.com/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item257

Hahaha, I wish.  Or I could be a poor high school kid using the free demo version during his past time.

I don't think so.  I'm pretty sure it's actually EMBEDDED in the ground.

The grass is fine on the "non-strataed" area's. It gets wacky when you add stratas to the equation. So I'd sugest using the blending mask for your stratas to make sure the grass doesn't pop up there ands use some rock texture for them.
