Title: First Landscape
Post by: robfigee on February 26, 2008, 11:46:59 AM
Hi. I am new to this Forum and using Terragen 0.9 now for 2 weeks. It is a great piece of software and I still have a lot to learn.
I am an archtectural renderer using Cad software, Strata 3D CX as rendering engine and Photoshop CS3 as Post editing program.
The attached image was created in TG0.9 and edited in Photoshop in which I also placed some trees and plants.
Hope you like it and, any comment is wellcome.

Nice image!  Only comment I can offer is: If you want to put this much effort into your work, you should learn Terragen 2!  With your CAD experience the concepts should be easy enough, and the output is much closer to this, with little post work.  The elements in this image can all be done in Terragen2.    Keep rendering and have fun!   -  Bill .

Thanks for your advise. What keeps me from using TG2 are the ridiculous rendertimes and the enormous switch in user interface.
The size of renders I need take about 40 minutes in 0.9 . I do not know how long an image of 3000 pixels wide would take in TG2.
I changed the left side of the landscape. I agree the rock was not so great.
