Title: The Fake Grass Country
Post by: nvseal on March 06, 2008, 02:46:12 PM
41 hours to render with 0.9 render quality to render. The grass is fake (that is, it is not made using objects but made procedurally in TG 2 using displacements). I think it turned out rather well except for the right lower grass. However, I do no think this a problem with the method though. And it renders fast.  ;D

I love everything beyond the forward hill and agree with you about the lower right.

Groovinesses.

Very natural look to this one. The haze and lighting really make it.

The grass is great. I know you used displacement, but just how? Did you use a surface layer and gave it displacements?
Anyways. It's a very nice image ;)

That's it.  :) I used a powerfractal connected to a surface layer to do the displacements.
