The planet was created using nvseal's Barren World Tutorial. The asteroids were created by my Asteroid Group creator, which will be available in the File section here and in the Downloads area at Ashundar.
Beautiful render, more crispy will be better !
nice !
Cool work Calico, nice looking asteroids. I agree with Phylox about the crispiness. Hopefully it won't take too long to render :)
Nice asteroids, with then just entering the atmosphere I take it that planet is a bad place to be right now. ;D
Nice asteroids calico 8)
Another render. The only change here has been to the planet. Otherwise, these asteroids are "as is" from the asteroid creator. This download can be found here --> http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=3643.msg37560#msg37560
The neat thing, which I'll show in another render later, is that with the organized node work it is possible to change the colors and displacement of all of these asteroids by changing only a fraction of the Power Fractals that create the individual asteroids.
Great asteroids- I prefer the first image but agree that it should be a little sharper.

Yea I like the first image better myself, but great displacement.
The first two images in this thread were to show what the asteroids look like immediately after the asteroid group program creates the group. Those were without changes, except to the main planet. This [perhaps last] image now is to show what you can do with a group of asteroids, once you have created the group with this program. Just a doodle. Hope you find time to enjoy it.
You need to take the asteroids out of the scene and show more of that planet. It looks really interesting. :)
LOL I'm trying to show something here, Mr. Seal. ;D
I took your planet instructions and tweaked around a bit. It's fun. Thanks for that tutorial.
You should try my program. It gives you a good start to save time and some trouble.
