This one didn't take too long to render. You'll need IR goggles to see all the detail.
Many thanks for viewing (or not I should say).
;D
Perfect! Very realistic. :D
I was hoping to bring it into Photoshop and do a Threshold on it to find some secret satanic messages ala Stairway to Heaven.
So disappointed....
Good one! All procedural or did you use image maps?

Not sure on that one. :D
What Gi settings did you use and how long did the calculations take? ;D ;D ;D
nice displacements and surfaces!!
Image of the week methinks. :D Might need to be redone with higher antialiasing though.
That must have taken ages to render ;D
Oh, it looks a little different with my eyes open. ::)
Will you be making any wallpaper sized?
I'd suggest darkening it a bit to achieve more realism...
I was in a lava tube once and this is just what it looked like when the lantern went out. Bravo on the realism. ;D
That's not a render! It's a photo!
Can you put the TGD? I wanna see how you achieved the realism. I'd like to see some more foliage though. ;D
My new wallpaper....THANKS :'( < that's emotion
Many thanks for the compliments all. I missed April 1st since I was out of town on vacation. ::)
one of the most beautiful and realistic render i ever saw !!!
very very good job !
Care to share any settings on this one?
I'm with Otakar, too bright still and also, the surfacing is a little too reflective in my opinion.
Nice shot though!
moodflow, you have excelled yourself with this one. I think the guys at Planetside should empty the gallery of pics and just post this one. It makes all the other renders out there look a little sad. Its not just the photo realistic quality (though this in its self is unsurpassable) its the composition. The placing of your populations is just sublime, and the quality of the models used... well, what can I say. This isn't just image of the week material, its image of the decade... well done, have a gold star and go to the top of the class.

Fantastic lighting, you did a great job making the rock fixtures too.
LOL
