Title: Alien Planets ***Update 1***
Post by: zionner on April 07, 2008, 05:55:00 PM
Hey all, Aint posted a new render on here for a while, so here the latest one:

I was quite disapointed with the results of this render, I like how the planet came out and the lighting, but I feel the Terrain looked better in the smaller preview I did first.

Anywho, tell me what you think of it:

Your outer planet has some problems - shiny areas.   It seems like you probably have GI problems...or something attributed to a GI bug.  I thought that was fixed, though.

Yeah, I'm rendering a new version now,

It has Much better terrain in it too, Sorry If the terrain seemed to spoil the render :/

I seem to be doing really bad at TG 2 right now :s

Ok, This versions Much better :)

I've paid much more attention to the terrain and lighting, thought there still seems to be some GI problems with the planets reflections.

Tell me what you think, and forgive how bad the first edition was.

how did you texture the second planet? tg's planet shader?
if so, just tone down the white/grey a bit and you hould be fine
