Hi,
as the title suggests this was originally just an object shading
test, but then i played a little bit with fake stones and some
other stuff and thought i might call it an image. ;)
Btw i had something weird happening with this one.The pf shader
for one of the fake stones had a smallest scale setting of 0.00125
and the noise flavour was perlin ridges.I wanted to try a different
noise and switched to perlin and did some crop renders only to find
that the sky was rendered black. It was still visible in the preview though.
Also the GI dots were rendered but then just black.
I know of the terrain turns dark effect, but the sky going black.....strange.
Anyway here it is.
How big is it?
How heavy is it?
And where can I get one?
I would probably have a go at it with a wire brush to get the rust off and then probably paint it but I want one of those in my garden. ;D

:D sign me in
but i'd just leave it the way it is, really cool object, great texturing
Love it. For a piece of junk, it's beautiful. And the lighting is great, too.
I've noticed strange effects when I bring the smallest scale of a fractal down below 0.001.
BTW, pretty sweet looking "thing"!
Do they come in small sizes too, I'd love one of these to hang off my keyring... Oh and by the way, nice render. I particularly like the rocky slope in the background, nice displacement.
Miles
Thanks for your comments y'all. ;D
Mr_Lamppost : approx.4m
scales blew up
at my place
For your virtual garden delivery would be much easier probably. ;)
moodflow : that's why it was set to 0.00125 originally.
mr-miley : they come in all sizes,cg-wise.---The rocky slope was made via image map
displacement on a heightfield.A b/w image,seamless tileable artificial cracks.
Thanks again,J. ;D
Sure they come in small sizes. ;D
