Title: Blocky haze/atmosphere on space render
Post by: RArcher on April 22, 2008, 02:56:55 PM
Does anyone have any ideas for creating a smoother gradient for the haze on a space render.  Not sure what I've done wrong with this one, but the haze is very blocky.

Detail: 1
AA: 12
GI: 2/2
Atmosphere: 128

Thanks for any suggestions.

First image is full size, second is zoomed 400%.

That's very strange. I'm surprised you didn't get a reply from PS by now?

I don't know if it helps but did you try switching off "adjust to distance" under the quality tab?

This looks like it's part of the way the image display is resized during rendering if your image is too large. This should be indicated by a percentage value in the title bar of the Render View. When the image is saved and viewed in another program it should not have this problem.

If the image is finished rendering and it still shows this after saving and viewing in a separate image viewer, perhaps you Sample Jitter in the Atmosphere Quality tab?
