Ray traced shadows off.
Took 9 hours and 30 minutes on an older 2 core system.
Very happy with the speed increase, this would have likely taken 36 or so hours previously.
This is so odd (not your image - it's fantastic) - when I try anything remotely like this I get errors after errors with the new Alpha. Did you change your thread settings? If so, to what?
Thread settings were at the default minimum: 1 Maximum: 16. The only errors I have had so far with the alpha are from the memory leak Matt is already looking into which for me have been solved by just closing and reopening Terragen.
Great work on this one. It's beautiful.
As far as errors, I'm opening old TGDs that have been waiting for this moment, but I'm getting lots of errors all over the place that weren't there with the previous version. I'm sure their all related at some point or another.
This is not the kind of image that I love. By against pretty colors!

Wow. "Striking" is one word to describe it. ;D It's a bit too ethereal and shiny for my liking, but it's nonetheless a beautiful image. I think it may be odd-looking to me because shadows are off. I'd be curious to see what it looked like with them enabled.
It may have taken 30+ hours on the old version *and* wouldn't have had transparency. ;)
