Title: planet 02 atmo bug on the new alpha
Post by: lightning on May 02, 2008, 05:18:31 AM
hey guys

just noticed a wee bug in the new alpha build.
what it is is when you make a new planet and you see it in the preview screen it looks black now i did a few tests such as taking the atmo off the planet which worked the good thing is though is that the black matter stuff does not show up when you render take a look at the attachment to see what im gettin at ;D

This may be due to a depth buffer range issue. In the past sometimes this would occur and adjusting the depth buffer for the 3D preview would help. You can do this with the [ and ] bracket keys I believe. However I can reproduce this problem here and the depth adjustment seems to have no effect. I'll look into it.

This may also be a graphics card issue, probably still depth buffer related but I get something like this quite often on my laptop while the preview of the same scene works fine on my desktop.  ?  :) ?
