Title: Sinagua Summer
Post by: choronr on May 12, 2008, 12:06:59 AM
This is a TG2 re-make of a Terragen 0.09 image I made early in 2007 called Sinagua.

Hey Jay, those population camera settings worked out perfectly; thank you.

Bush model by 'lightning'.

Wow, there is a tremendous sense of scale here. The look of the image, coloration and slightly desaturated tone, also remind me of old Westerns. Great work. :)

Thanks Oshyan; this was a fun project. Reviving older Terragen 0.09 images with TG2 is a great learning experience.

Hi Bob,

Seems you're getting the hang of it more and more :)
This is a very nice image and I agree with Oshyan about the western-look, though I'm not really fond of dark shadows.
The sense of scale is indeed great and the cloudplane looks good as well.
Nice use of the bushes (they're great aren't they), they add to the sense of scale very well.

It does look like an old western painting...or something you would see in an old history book from a painting done in the 19th century.  Cool.
