Title: Manta ray over coral

Good idea, but I think you should reduce the "roughness" of water for better readability of the image!

Nice one... I agree about the waves.

And it looks like you have the Manta Ray upside down...  :P


I love these scenes with animals in them, make them come to life!

I've tried several roughnesses and wave sizes and the variation is enormous. This scene actually has a grass population ontop of fakestones, but no matter what the roughness settings even completely still water doesn't show the grass with any "length". This version is just a nice compromise. I'll post a variation later.

Yeah, I realise it's upside down but the top is just black with white edges and this side shows off the gills.

Beautiful image. I don't see it as a photorealistic image- more impressionistic.

I agree with Phylloxera.  Once that roughness is gone on the water, it will look like a cool photo.
