That's looking very nice indeed.
oh my god!!! that grass is AMAZING!!! how did you do it...if I may ask ;D
The grass looks nice, but the most amazing thing here is the realism of the leaves' translucency!
Great job!
hey seth ;)
you MUST tell me how you got my grass soooooo damn realistic!!!
i am modeling a new set of grasses at the moment so can you please give me some tips ;D
This is very pleasant.

hehehe
i just used your grass and played with light... not big deal, your grass is just amazing :)
sweet render!
I see some terrain in the grass ;D...excellent work Seth the vegetations is very realistic and the light is just perfect for a scene like this.
Very nice, the lighting on the trees is spot on. As the sky is completely clear I would have expected to see more defined (Less soft) shadows but as this is a WIP you may have atmosphere changes in mind that will match the shadows as they are.
Are you using Lightning's large hi-res grass mats/patches rather than the small clumps?
The lighting is truly stunning here. The leave translucency is particularly impressive. It's a simple scene, but very effective and realistic as it is. That little bit of oddly textured terrain peeking through is the only distraction.

im sure a little patchwork in photoshop can fix that!
Good work man, I love the light !
thanks all :)
@Lightning : i won't fix it with PS... I'll use TG2 ;) I plan to use different vegetation on this one just to try different mood... and when i'll find something good enough, I'll render it ;)
Très belle réalisation,Bravo!!!

bigger on my blog (http://seth93.blogspot.com/)... as usual ;)
Sorry, Seth, but I preferred the first one. The orange bushes pop way too much for me - the appeal of the original scene was its muted, subtle colors, and the new version takes away from that.
umm i agree the bushes are way to sharp the look sorta like billboards i proffered the original render.
i think the bushes are to vibrant and contrast to much with the organic greens and plus you vary rarely
see bushes so far into the Photoperiodism process while the other trees are still quite lush in colour.
to make it more natural i would either make the trees leaves more yellow so it looks like they are starting to go through the Photoperiodism process or make the bushes leaves green in colour so it fits more in with the time of the year this render is set ;)
p.s just shows you what a little postwork can do to a scene ;)
i love the soft aetherize effect of the second render it just looks sooooooooooo much better than the stock :) but i am one of those guys who loves post work ;D
oh and would you be able to post the specks on the grass and one the tree leaves i realy want to know how you got those leaves to look so realistic!
they look great...maybe slightly too orange?
any tips as to how you made the leaves translucent?
First one was good...pleasant. :)
damn... i like the orange touch....
hehe you can't satisfy everybody ;)
here is the tgd
Do you prefer something like that ? ...

I'm looking for you to do something mind boggling pretty soon. This is very nice work though and it pleasantly realistic. I like it. I know you can do "out there".

Sorry. It means like what lightning said - 'amazing' It can also mean blowing our minds, which means going over what we thought was possible. Some people have that ability.

Now all we need is something from the scene in Hero...red flowing robes in slow motion and glittering swords clanging all around. ;D
hehehe exactly ^^
I like where this is going, Seth. Here's to your imagination. Forever. <ching>
This one delivers the feel of nature Seth, thank you for sharing.
thanks guys...
i am doing something else now.... but i love the possibility of TG2 with vegetation... we can do as good as vue and i am sure that with some work, we can do better...
holy :o :o!!!
Seth this is positivity one of the best scenes in terragen i have ever seen!!!
