Title: Desert
Post by: I3D on July 06, 2008, 02:38:08 AM
Hi Guys

This is test scene I did in TG2, Comments & Critics are most welcome :)

The Clouds on the upper left corner are ruining it, but after 28 hours of render, I'm not planning to wait that long again :)

Some details, Render size is 1920x1200, Detail is 1, AA 6, GI Detail 3, GI Samples 3, GI Blur 10 and supersample is on, along with ray traced shadows for Clouds with 24 samples for it, and 24 for the atmosphere, all running on a Pentium D Dual Core 3.7Ghz.

Cheers

Looks great. Very moody. You could try to decrease the "smallest scale" value in the density shader-density fractal to get more detail inside the cloud noise.

Nice colors.  Pretty good terrain.

You could probably speed things up a but by lowering the GI settings. I doubt the difference would show in a scene like this.

Nice moody atmo. By the way.  ;D
