Title: Fluted Rock
Post by: RArcher on July 18, 2008, 05:45:57 PM
I've been jealous of some of the world machine and geocontrol landscapes people have been using, but I have no time to learn either of those programs so I figured I would try and create a similar sandstone and erosion effect procedurally in TG2.  Here are the results.

Oooh this is nice!  Great transparency for the rocks under the water, and the greenish colour tinge is a nice touch.  There are places where the rock looks all melted like that in volcanic areas here in NZ

What is the white powdery substance scattered here and there? it seems to light and out of place for snow, and too pale to be sand given the colour of the rock underneath?

I appreciate this attempt.  Keep at it.  This is good work.

I like the fact we can do so much within TG2.

Our thoughts are running along similar lines, Ryan - I have been trying to achieve similar effects myself lately ;).
