I couldn't make this in TG2 if I could meld all the brains of all the Planetside staff, Luc, Volker, Seth, Frank, Nikita, TU and Old_Blaggard into one brain and then had that brain translated into my head.  I refuse to feel depressed.  This guy is awesome.

Wow... that's amazing.  I need to spend more time on CGSociety (only just registered last month).  I agree that there is still a ways to go in the procedural 3D world before we can get the precision and complete control offered by the great matte painters.

terragen can do this sort of stuff now not on its own but with photoshop it can create sruff just as good as this. I remember the old legends who used to use terragen 1 and heavely intergrate it with photoshop
and they created results just as good as this :)
