Title: Stagnant
Post by: dandelO on August 13, 2008, 11:29:16 PM
This didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to, while the distance looks OK, the nearest big rock and the too much empty water ruin it for me.

Maybe a little schoal of sticklebacks and tadpoles in the lower left, to break up the emptiness?

35mins render.

Thanks for looking! :)

I like the lighting and the point of view, which makes the water look realistic along with what's under it.  But, I do wonder what that shiny stuff is on the rocks - it looks unnatural.

Very does good work, just a remark on “the reflective shader” it seem to me too strong, it would perhaps have to be attenuated? that shines much and in the form of too small spots!

I agree with Phyllox about the reflectivity...the tiny reflections are very bright and a bit distracting.
However, I think that the stones, the water and its transparency are well done!
