The terrain is an old one I downloaded from Olivier Cousinou called "Wetcangmo". As far as I remember it's a Mojo terrain. I don't remember the link.
I hope you like it. No PW, only sharpened.
Yeah,... I like it :-)
Nice POV and scene.
I am not fan of the rocks in the 2nd plan, but the remainder is splendid! One would say really a photograph! Beautiful distribution of the trees, and good work on surfaces! (http://smileys.sur-la-toile.com/repository/Respect/bravo-applaudi-147.GIF)
very nice shot...love the colours and lighting!
Great detail in the textures and nice job with the sense of scale with the models.
Wow, I really like this - it has that matte image feel.
The foliage looks incredible. The rock formations and water could use some work, but as everyone else stated, this is exceptional! 8)
I love the point of view and foliage. Grand image. Excellent terrain. Wonderful.
Thank you!!!
Moodflow said it all for me...this is great work! Love the depth and scales you chose for the populations. The water and rockformations could indeed use some more attention but in the end it is still very nice work! :)

Agree with Martin, besides water the rest looks great for me. Beautiful render.
Here's a closeup render:

This is sweet work, Hannes. Keep your vision full-speed ahead.
This is very detailed and looks phenomenal! The distribution of trees is nearly flawless and the terrain is realistic and detailed. The water is way too transparent in my opinion though.
Thanks a lot! I agree that the water is too transparent. Maybe I'm going to render another one, but it's going to take some time since it's a composite of nine single images (still no full version!!).

Youch!
I hate having to assemble them. I still have to on occasion, even with a quad core PC.
By the way, where can one get some of that foliage? Is it free somewhere? Looks great.
Beautiful render. I just think the water is too transparent.
Is it a caricature of Dr. House you have as a avatar Hannes?
- Terje
Well, Moodflow, I think you can get this foliage! ;D
It's Lightning's olive tree and some of his bushes. I used another population of the olive tree and changed the colour a little bit to a more brownish green.
@sjefen: yes, I made a caricature of Dr. House for a friend of mine.
Click it!!

That's cool. Really good drawing.
House MD is the best show in the whole wide world.

Hannes, if you need help rendering a new version I'd be glad to lend a hand. If you can package up all the objects, etc. and make the paths relative, it should be pretty easy.
- Oshyan
i new it was dr house!!
awesome drawing!!!
im a big fan of hugh Laurie!
i have loved his acting since i was a wee kid me and my dad used to watch an English comedy called Black Adder together and it was so funny my favorite session is when he plays the thick prince he is just soooooo dumb!!
anyway thanks for using my trees they look really special in this amazing scene the lighting is just so realistic could you edit that terrain so you can get rid of those spiky artifact or just round them of abit?
This has a great sense of place- lots of realistic variation in textures and very nice foliage. I like it a lot! The only bad point for me is the very spikey islands- they seem out of place in this.
monks
very good light here !
the first plan is great and i like the "zooming" one ^^
