I know, terrain etc. sucks ;D main interest is clouds ;)
Based heavily on tgd I posted here:

Adjusted a couple of settings to improve softness of clouds as well as some extra small detail and loose blotches. Me like :P

Looking good! There's still a little too much noise on the edges of the clouds for me, but this is really looking impressive. As you said, the terrain could use some work, though ;).

Ghehe indeed :) thanks!
However, I think the detail at the edges is just fine. Very realistic, at least, for what I see here in The Netherlands ;D
Wow, this is looking fantastic! Very nice work. I'll have to take a look at those clouds...nearly flawless. 8)
The lighting and the shapes in the clouds are very good. Looking forward to see this progressing.
Love where this is going, TU. Keep it up!
Great clouds. You should make a big render of these.

What do you mean by "blotches"?

Clouds with very large densities often get an odd almost scaly effect to them as you can see on the 'y' shape of this render by Luc

beautiful clouds here........looking forward to see more fluffies!
Thanks guys, I have another one brewing :P
Just for fun ;D
Liked the lit up top right cloud because of the low elevated sun. The foam is from a clipfile shared by FrankB, thanks!
The unfinished render is another lighting and scene setup...suddenly ran into the idea for making another view, so I aborted it :)
Both images are of course the same fractals and settings.
This time 2 cloud layers with each 2 density fractals are being mixed. I really like some of the fluffy structures :)
Still trying to perfect these, but I think I'm close on finishing this technique. It's just a matter of putting these together in a nice scene.

edit: oh man oh man oh man...how could I ever forgot to mention that the lighting in these 2 pictures are partially being created using Moodflow's GI technique.
However, I did modify it quite much and also added an extra enviro light with ambient occlusion.
So this a render with both GI and ambient occlusion lighting. Moodflow's GI technique still adds very much to this.
These look pretty good!
This is looking fantastic TU! Glad to see you were able to make use of that GI technique.
