Title: Big Sky
Post by: nvseal on September 28, 2008, 06:07:40 PM
I wish I had made this one bigger  :(. This image was made using the same planetery cloud setup I've had for a long time (never made a better one). I did some postwork with the curves and some sharpening.

The camera field of view is something like 120, or somewhere around there.

Possibly the best yet, though I agree it'd be nice to see it larger. How do these look from the ground?

I've never done a render from the ground. Partly because it seems to take longer to render but also because what I've scene in the preview window is the clouds just aren't very defined when you start getting around 100km from them. I may look into a ground level shot again though now that I can render faster.
