Title: Surface Layers: Coverage and Fractal Breakup
Post by: monks on October 10, 2008, 11:41:33 AM
Hey all, I've got several surface layers set to Coverage = 1, and Fractal Breakup= 0.5.
Are the two cancelling each other out here?- I'm thinking that coverage may give total coverage and that fractal breakup noises the coverage.

Switch the two numbers around.  Set Coverage to 0.5 and Fractal breakup to 1.  Then you can adjust how much and where you see through each texture by adjusting the breakup shader.

As you have it right now, yes, each layer is completely covering up the one below it (unless of course you are also adjusting each by height/slope etc.).
