Title: Crop results in cropped window
Post by: PorcupineFloyd on October 20, 2008, 05:06:02 PM
Is it possible to have results of cropped render in window with crop size? To avoid having large black window with only small piece rendered.

It's a bit problematic when doing small crops of 3600 x 2400 renders and having to save them on hdd in order to see the detail of crop (because 3600 x 2400 is rescaled to fit the screen on TG render window).

(I'm editing my first reply, where I thought you were talking about cropping the image file.)

We might be able to do this in future. In the mean time, have you tried using the zoom feature in the render window? You can pan around the zoomed image by dragging. (To me it seems that it drags in the wrong direction, but you'll have to ask Jo about that ;)

Hi,

There's documentation for the render window here:

Yes, I tried that. But it's kinda strange. It looks like TG is trying to work on this reduced size picture only and after zooming 3600 x 2400 picture by, let's say 200% - it's pixelated.

EDIT:
"When rendering is completed the image is always displayed at full size. If it was larger than could fit on the screen it will initially be zoomed to fit on the screen. You can then use the zoom tools (see the View Manipulation section below) to display it at full size if so desired."

Yeah - now I get the idea ;-)
