Been playing with Terragen 2 on and off for a little while with no real background knowledge. In my opinion this is the best one I've produced.

A very good start, with nice light, nice terrain shapes, and good surfaces.

For a good forest, you might want to use another kind of tree, and place them closer together, but you got the distribution right.


All in all a very fine image!

This is decent beginning.  Are the clouds the default?  If so, you might check some out in the Cloud Library.  Lots of good clouds to learn from in there.  It almost looks like the clouds Samples are pretty low, but I'm not 100% sure.
