Title: Problem to make this type of terrain

Hi all, I'm new here at the forums and i'm trying to recreate a 2d scene in 3d but i have no idea how to achieve this peaky mountains efect. Thx and sorry for my English

For one thing use a 'twist and shear' shader to make the peaks lean over to one side, generally that also results in sharper looking peaks.

Yes twist and shear would work wonders here. To get the peaks themselves use the alpine fractal and adjust the deposition settings like so. You'd probably want to add another twist and shear limited to the top of the peaks and lean them a bit more to the left. And you probably wouldn't want the whole structure leaning that far to the left, just the tips.
