Somewhere between my Q6600 cores...

After approximately 180 hours of rendering in 3600 x 2400 I've finally lost my patience and aborted the render.

So instead of doing a "real thing" in 36k x 24k I've managed to change some settings and rendered it in 1280 x 853 in 8 hours and 47 minutes.

Never do such a big render with very high quality setting on populations and AA on 6. Oh, and avoid messing with soft shadows and atmosphere samples. 0.75/9 for shadows and 40 samples of atmosphere are fine.

I like the process of rendering - it kinda makes working with TG or Vue different from playing Crysis for example.

CPU - Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz, 4GB DDR2 800, 4-4-4-12.

-------------------------------------------------

So as you can see - I gave up with rendering this scene in large resolution. It ate up too much of my time and power. Maybe sometime I'll render it in bigger resolution. When TG will support network rendering for instance ;)
