T.G.O. Spotted in Arizona... Or maybe it's just a flying pan-lid that's lost a pot of potatoes somewhere? :D
Anyway, whatever it is, it's all TG generated, no imported models except the bushes, one of which is Lightnings 'Pinus Nigra', the other is an Xfrog public plant. OOOhhhh! The controversy! ;)
The ship is made from rocks and discs. Can anyone guess how I did the cool coloured metallic effect on the roofpiece, in TG? Answers on a postcard... ;)

Thanks for looking! :)
EDIT: Changed the title.
I like it. I knew I'd lost my lid somewhere - at least that's what people keep telling me! ;D
Nice metalic effects if somewhat overly "clean".
I'd guess the roof piece effect could be achieved by applying the chrome texture (reflect 1, IOR 30ish) to an already blue coloured disc with a tweak to the luminosity?
Cheers, Kevin.
Here's a better view of the roof shader on a rock object, it isn't a blue object with reflection.

Im thinking a rock object w/ 2G + faces, water shader set as surface shader, waves > Roughness 0 W Scale 0 > Sub surface adjust color to taste
Could it be ???
;)

Very almost, Carl! ;) At least as far as the 2000 faces part. 2000 exactly with smooth normals but the colour comes from something else, it's a single node for colour followed by a reflective shader for the glossiness. What could it be?
If it's any clue, I'm not sure this colour shader node is
supposed to be used this way at all. I don't know what it's really for! :D

Naaaa... all he did was get some very small paintbrushes and some acrylic paint....
The UFO is cool and all, but it is the foreground rock and dirt textures that really shine.
You didn't use a cloudfractal did you? Can give some nice effects...

Aa ha might it be a constant shader w/ choice of color :o
Earlier reports of a TGO flying over Arizona have been confirmed by a second siting of the craft crossing the border toward Tijuana ;D rendered w/dande0's Planetary grass V2 Good stuff
Thanks, all! :)
And the mystery colour shader is... Visualise Tex Co-ords! That, followed by a reflective shader. Here's the node-shot for the craft, the (10-14m) numbers in the disk objects are the height of each ring, not the sizes.

Carl: Mexican bandits appear to have stolen it's rings, globes and roofpiece! :o ;D
